The new movie “Dog” not only has the simplest title, but also the simplest story. A soldier who was friends with someone who was killed in Afghanistan is hired by his commanding officer to transport his dog across country to his funeral. From that point on, this entire movie is all about Channing Tatum transporting a German Shepard across country, with various dramatic and funny scenes along the way. This is the entire movie, that is hard to believe was greenlighted into a movie – but it was. Some of the scenes are funny, some are emotional and almost all of them are for hard core dog lovers. However, there is really no story here and not much of a movie.

I am surprised to see the relatively high ratings of 77% for such a simple film, my rating being in the 50% rating -giving this film a pass.
